We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team in the Social / NGO / Health & Care industry. The Support Worker will be responsible for providing practical and emotional support to individuals in need, including those with disabilities, mental health issues, or elderly individuals. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for helping others and a commitment to making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable individuals.

Responsibilities

  • Providing one-on-one support to individuals in their daily activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
  • Assisting individuals in accessing community resources and participating in social activities.
  • Monitoring and documenting the progress and well-being of the individuals under care.
  • Collaborating with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to ensure the best possible care for the individuals.
  • Advocating for the rights and needs of the individuals and promoting their independence and well-being.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certification or training in social work, healthcare, or related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in providing support or care to individuals with disabilities, mental health issues, or elderly individuals.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanour, with a genuine desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, and to adapt to the changing needs of the individuals under care.
  • Knowledge of community resources and support services available to individuals in need.
  • Understanding of and commitment to upholding ethical and professional standards in the field of social care.
