3 Month Contract with a local Authority

Job Purpose

• We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Business Analyst to join our Education Services support team, focusing on the MRI (Capita) One system. The successful candidate will play a critical role in supporting local authority (LA) education services, with a deep understanding of processes including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), Early Years, Education Welfare, Educational Psychology and School Transport. This position requires substantial expertise in configuring and enhancing the MRI (Capita) One system, including managing developments and implementing new functionalities, and overseeing change management processes. Additionally, experience with MRI (Capita) One portals, including portal and forms development , is essential.
  

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse education service processes such as SEND, Early Years, Education Welfare, and Educational Psychology to identify and implement improvements in efficiency and functionality.
  
• Lead system developments and implement new functionalities within MRI (Capita) One, ensuring seamless integration and minimal service disruptions.
  
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design and develop MRI (Capita) One portals, including portal and forms development , to enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
  
• Manage system development projects end-to-end, including requirements gathering, testing, and implementation.
  
• Provide training, documentation, and ongoing support to end-users to ensure effective adoption of MRI(Capita) One enhancements and new processes.
  
• Actively engage in change management, ensuring smooth transitions during system upgrades and feature rollouts.
  
• Mentor colleagues, promote knowledge transfer, and enhance team skills in the use and configuration of the MRI (Capita) One system.
  
• Troubleshoot system issues in collaboration with IT teams and third-party vendors, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
  

Essential experience Required

• Extensive experience as a Business Analyst within local authority (LA) education services.
  
• In-depth knowledge of processes such as SEND, Early Years, Education Welfare, Educational Psychology and School Transport.Strong expertise in supporting and configuring the MRI (Capita) One system, including developing new functionalities, and implementing changes.
  
• Proven experience with MRI (Capita) One portals, including portal and forms development.
  
• Hands-on skills in utilizing technical tools like SQL and reporting platforms to enhance system functionality.
  
• Demonstrated success in leading system development projects and managing stakeholder engagement.
  
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to bridge technical and business needs effectively
  
• A proactive, collaborative approach with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
