Job description
3 months contract with local authority
The Occupational Therapist will join a multi-disciplinary team, including Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Physiotherapists, to deliver health and social care services to the local community. This role is crucial in coordinating care for individuals with diverse needs, leveraging the expertise of various professionals. The position involves managing a caseload, supporting colleagues, and ensuring accurate case management. The aim is to provide efficient and cost-effective services in line with established criteria, utilizing resources from Social Services, Health, the Council, and other organizations.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage a caseload of clients with varying complexities.
- Support lower-grade Occupational Therapists with complex cases as directed by the Team Manager.
- Lead in coordinating care and support for users and their families, involving other professionals as needed.
- Accurately input case management information for monitoring and planning.
- Deliver efficient and cost-effective health and social care services.
- Adhere to HCPC standards of proficiency for Occupational Therapists.
- Maintain Continuous Professional Development (CPD) to uphold registration.
- Attend post-qualification training as required.
- Work flexibly over a 7-day week to meet service needs.
Requirements
- Adherence to the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) standards.
- Commitment to Continuous Professional Development (CPD) as per The College of OT's Code.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team.
- Strong case management and coordination skills.
- Flexibility to work across a 7-day schedule.
