2 months contract with a local authority

Summary
  • The Initial Assessment Team Service is designed to assist individuals who are at risk of homelessness or are currently homeless by helping them maintain their current housing or transition into suitable private rented accommodation. The Front Door Team Service collaborates with partners to enhance resilience and housing stability, aligning with the Early Help strategy.
Responsibilities
  • Provide expert advice and collaborate with partners to prevent or delay homelessness.
  • Work to prevent individuals from entering temporary accommodation or becoming street homeless.
  • Serve as the Homeless Housing Coordinator within the Initial Assessment Team, focusing on homelessness prevention.
Experience
  • Knowledge of welfare, the Homelessness Reduction Act, housing and homelessness policy, case law, legislation, and practice.
  • Familiarity with courts, possession orders, and evictions.
  • Expertise in homelessness decision-making.
  • Experience in safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
Qualifications
  • A good general standard of education.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Information
  • Contract Duration: 2 months with a local authority.
  • Working Hours: 35 hours per week.
  • An enhanced DBS check is necessary.
