Job description
3 months contract with local authority
The Osborne Grove Assessment Centre offers 37 beds for off-street accommodation, focusing on providing comprehensive assessments and support for individuals accessing the service. The role of Assessment and Move Workers is crucial in evaluating suitable move-on options and facilitating these transitions within a 12-week period. The team is dedicated to creating and maintaining safety plans for all service users, ensuring regular updates. Additionally, the centre adopts a harm reduction approach to address health and substance use issues, and supports individuals in obtaining necessary identification and benefits. The service is inclusive, allowing access for those with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF). The role involves working on a rotating schedule with early and late shifts, including weekends, but excludes overnight shifts, offering some long weekends off.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments to determine appropriate move-on options for service users.
- Support service users in transitioning within a 12-week timeframe.
- Develop and regularly update safety plans for all service users.
- Assist service users in obtaining identification and accessing eligible benefits.
- Implement a harm reduction approach to address health and substance use.
- Provide accommodation access for individuals with No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF).
- Work on a rotating schedule with early and late shifts, including weekends.
Requirements
- Experience working with rough sleepers and individuals with complex needs.
- Ability to conduct in-depth assessments and develop effective support plans.
