Job description

1 month contract with local authority

  • Conducting assessments with young people to identify safeguarding and risk issues.
  • Collaborating with young people to develop a plan of work and interventions to address identified issues.
  • Planning, delivering, and coordinating a range of services and interventions for young people in partnership with statutory and voluntary services.
  • Preparing written reports for courts, referral panels, and child protection conferences within specified timescales.
  • Contributing to and developing one-to-one and group work programs to address areas of need.
  • Representing the views and needs of young people in the services and programs delivered by Targeted Services for Young People and wider LCC services.
  • Accurately recording all contact and work undertaken with young people using the electronic recording system.
  • Supporting and working with the families of young people to address areas of concern and assist integration into mainstream services.
  • Ensuring that all programs and activities are developed in line with the LCC commitment to equal opportunities and non-discriminatory practice.
  • Supervising students as appropriate.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of legislation and practice and sharing knowledge with other staff members.
  • Working within a performance management framework to achieve identified outcomes.
General Responsibilities:
  • Undertaking other duties as agreed by the line manager.
  • Ensuring that all functions are carried out in accordance with the policies and procedures of Liverpool City Council.


Requirements


  • Knowledge of legislation and practice related to the role.
