1 month contract with a Local Authority
Job Summary:
• We are seeking an experienced Senior Occupational Therapist to join an Adult Social Care Occupational Therapy Team on a temporary basis.
• This hybrid role will involve overseeing the Duty Team, managing internal referral systems, holding a small caseload of complex cases, and supervising junior Occupational Therapists.
• The successful candidate will bring a minimum of one year’s senior-level experience within Adult Social Care and demonstrate a high level of competence in manual handling, duty screening, and adaptations work.

Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
• Oversight and coordination of the OT Duty Team, including supervision of two Occupational Therapists.
• Screening and triaging new referrals, allocating cases to appropriate team members.
• Management of the internal adaptations email inbox (shared rota with two other senior OTs).
• Holding a small caseload (approx. 5 cases/month) focused on urgent manual handling assessments and complex cases.
• Ensuring safe, timely, and person-centred service delivery in line with current legislation and best practice.
• Participating in team meetings, supervision, and service development initiatives.

Skills/Experience:

Additional Information:
• Hybrid working - with minimum 1-2 days office based. Likely to be on-going. 35 hours per week.
