Job description
Summary:
This role is dedicated to supporting social workers in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of vulnerable children and young people within the City. The position involves delivering high-quality services to ensure the well-being and safety of these individuals. The role is crucial in providing practical support, conducting assessments, and collaborating with various professionals to achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.
Responsibilities:
- Case Management: Serve as the 'allocated worker' for casework as assigned by the Team Manager or Social Worker.
- Assessments & Interventions: Collect, record, and critically analyse relevant information to fulfil statutory responsibilities, ensuring the well-being and safety of children and young people.
- Practical Support: Provide day-to-day support to children and their families as directed.
- Partnership Working: Collaborate with other professionals and agencies to ensure a cohesive approach to service delivery.
- Case Recording & Report Writing: Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively using evidence-based information in line with statutory and organizational requirements.
- Development & Accountability: Engage in personal professional development, stay updated with legislative changes, and contribute positively to team outcomes.
- Team Support: Assist the Team Manager with additional duties as needed.
Requirements
- Supervision: Work within established guidelines under the scrutiny of a Team Manager.
- Special Conditions:
