3 Month Contract With A Local Authority

Rugby Council is seeking an experienced Property Solicitor to join their team on a hybrid basis. The role requires a solicitor with sound experience in residential and commercial property matters, including right to buy, lease extensions, and property sales.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide expert legal advice on Right to Buy properties and buy-backs.
  

• Draft, review, and negotiate consent orders, sale and purchase agreements, and lease extensions/renewals.
  

• Advise on Assets of Community Value applications.
  

• Maintain excellent client relationships and provide high-quality advice to internal stakeholders.
  

• Use case management systems (IKEN or similar) effectively for case tracking and management.
  

Requirements

• Valid Practising Certificate (Solicitor)
  

• Proven experience in property law, particularly:
  

  • Right to Buy and buy-back transactions
    

  • Sale and purchase of properties
    

  • Consent orders
    

  • Lease extensions and renewals
    

  • Assets of Community Value applications
    

• Strong communication and client relationship skills
  

• Experience using IKEN or other case management systems
  

Working Arrangements

• Hybrid working with in-office attendance every Monday
  

• 21 hours per week across 3 days (7 hours per day)
  

• Fridays are non-working
