3 months contract with local authority

• Providing expert advice, support, and training on health and safety matters
  
• Assisting the Head of Health & Safety in developing an annual work plan aligned with Council needs and statutory requirements
  
• Generating income for PCC in accordance with service level agreements
  
• Keeping the Council informed of new legislation and guidance, and investigating health and safety incidents
  
• Delivering interventions to mitigate risks to employees' and others' health and safety
  
• Contributing to the Health & Safety business plan through collaboration and effective communication
  
• Working with Council colleagues to communicate transformation and improvement activities, and fostering collaborative working
  
• Advocating for customer excellence through feedback and driving continuous improvement
  
• Planning and directing workforce development and practice improvement in social care
  
• Ensuring compliance with legislation and guidance related to Adult Social Care and Health
  
• Promoting and implementing the council's Equality Policy in employment and service delivery
  
• Supporting elected members through the provision of high-quality financial and technical support
  

• Proven experience in health and safety management
  
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and guidance
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  
• Ability to drive continuous improvement
  
• Understanding of adult social care and health practices
