Job description

Work Arrangements

  • On-site work required for a minimum of 3 days per week
  • Duration: 3 months (with potential for extension)

  • Essential - Proven ability in strategic leadership to develop integrated services across various areas, ensuring a cohesive and child-centered approach
  • Essential - Deep understanding of safeguarding thresholds, contextual safeguarding, and multi-agency working within a MASH/front door context
  • Essential - Strong grasp of youth offending legislation, diversion strategies, and restorative justice practices
  • Essential - Skilled in identifying and responding to extra-familial harm, including criminal and sexual exploitation
  • Essential - Strong track record of building effective partnerships with various sectors to deliver joined-up services
  • Essential - Track record of using data and quality assurance frameworks to drive service improvement
  • Desirable - Experience in designing and delivering preventative services that reduce the need for care
  • Desirable - Demonstrated success in embedding early help pathways and leading targeted interventions
  • Desirable - Experience leading service redesign, workforce development, and cultural change
  • Desirable - Committed to co-production, voice of the child, and strengths-based practice

Context

  • Responsible for delivering effective, inclusive leadership and management of the teams
  • Responsible for ensuring practice is in line with current legislation and relevant guidance

Working Model

  • On-site model (minimum 3 days in office required)
  • Post holder will be required to attend council buildings as required
  • Need to be able to drive and have access to their own vehicle or alternative transport arrangements
