Summary

Responsibilities

• Maintain and cultivate gardens, lawns, and green spaces to ensure they are healthy and visually appealing.
  
• Plant and nurture new trees, flowers, and various plants.
  
• Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, trimming, pruning, and weeding.
  
• Monitor plant health and apply fertilisers, pesticides, and other treatments as necessary.
  
• Design and implement landscaping projects to enhance the aesthetic and ecological value of the environment.
  
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
  
• Collaborate with team members to plan and execute seasonal planting and maintenance schedules.
  
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and best practices in gardening and landscaping.
  

• Proven experience as a Gardener or in a similar role within the Environment & Resources industry.
  
• Strong knowledge of plant species, horticultural techniques, and landscaping design.
  
• Ability to operate gardening tools and machinery safely.
  
• Physical stamina and the ability to perform manual labour in various weather.
  
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  
• A passion for the environment and sustainable gardening practices.
  
• Relevant certifications or qualifications in horticulture or landscaping are a plus.
