Summary

This position is vital for ensuring the preservation and care of trees, contributing to environmental health and safety standards. As an Arborist Tree Surgeon, you will utilize your expertise in tree climbing, planting, and maintenance to support sustainable urban forestry practices.
Responsibilities
- Perform tree climbing and pruning to maintain tree health and safety.
- Conduct tree planting and preservation activities to enhance urban forestry.
- Execute tree and shrub care, including trimming, shaping, and removal when necessary.
- Assess tree health and recommend appropriate maintenance strategies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure compliance with environmental health standards.
- Operate and maintain arborist equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Provide guidance and support to junior team members and apprentices.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Arborist 2nd Climber LBS-005 or similar role in trades and operatives.
- Proficiency in tree climbing and arboricultural techniques.
- Strong knowledge of tree maintenance, gardening, and preservation practices.
- Ability to assess tree health and implement effective care strategies.
- Familiarity with environmental health and trading standards.
- Excellent physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
