6 months contract with a Local Authority
Job Summary:
• The Performance and Monitoring Service Manager – Young Community Languages will play a pivotal role in leading and managing initiatives focused on the enhancement of community language provision (e.g. Bengali, Chinese, Somali).
• The postholder will be responsible for delivering high-quality performance monitoring, data intelligence, and continuous improvement strategies.
• This includes managing tutors, overseeing curriculum standards, and collaborating with a wide network of stakeholders to drive equitable and impactful outcomes.
Key Duties/Accountabilities (Sample):
• Provide expert advice and strategic input to the Interim Head of Service for Young Community Languages.
• Lead on the recruitment, management, and professional development of community language tutors.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and evaluation of curriculum and standards for community language teaching.
• Develop and deliver robust performance monitoring frameworks and data reporting mechanisms.
• Produce clear and comprehensive business intelligence to support strategic planning and improvement initiatives.
• Manage complex projects involving multiple stakeholders to achieve defined milestones on time and within allocated resources.
• Create regular progress reports for senior leadership and escalate key business risks where necessary.
• Drive innovation and service transformation through evidence-based solutions and collaborative approaches.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships internally and externally to support the development of language education.
• Champion inclusion and equality, tackling disparities in access and outcomes across community language cohorts.
