3 months contract with local authority

• Monitoring and reviewing the quality and effectiveness of standards of care provided by foster carers
  
• Chairing independent annual and ad hoc fostering review meetings
  
• Identifying strengths and gaps in the social work foster care assessment process
  
• Providing support to foster carers and challenging practices that do not deliver good outcomes
  
• Providing an independent view of the strengths and weaknesses of foster carers and their support
  

• Social Work Qualification and Registration with Social Work England
  
• Ability to develop effective liaison with Children's Fostering Team
  
• Knowledge of relevant statutory provisions and the council’s constitution, processes, and procedures
  
• Ability to establish and develop effective working relationships and partnerships
  
• Familiarity with safeguarding policies and procedures
