Job description
3 months contract with a local authority
Job Purpose
- The contract is based on the management / delivery of a
large Domestic Electrical Installation Condition Reporting programme, the
completion & certification of any remedial works identified to make the
installation's Satisfactory and Domestic Fire Alarm Installation &
Servicing works.
- The contract manager will be responsible for managing a team
of Inspectors and customer relationship officers and external contractors
completing the works.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Responsible for providing
operational support to managers including monitoring and managing service providers,
contractors, consultants and other agencies to facilitate high levels of
service delivery to all aspects of the design and delivery of projects.
- To manage borough wide electrical
schemes, works packages and projects to high standards including customer
expectations, quality standards, and workmanship. This includes the management,
motivation and development of teams and staff within the remit of the post
holder.
Essential Experience Required
- Past experience in delivering / manging electrical contracts in a
Social Housing environment and the challenges this presents is essential.
- Experience in Electrical contract management in a Social Housing
background is essential.
- Experience of manging an internal team, manging and undertaking
progress meetings for external contractors, reviewing works completed and
authorising works orders is essential.
- Experience of XL and record keeping, Ability to produce and present
reports and Electrically biased background is essential.
Essential Qualification Required
- Educated in a range of electrical disciplines i.e. City & Guilds
2360 Parts 1 & 2, 2391 Inspection, Testing & Certification of
Electrical Installations, 2382 18th Edition BS7671 etc is essential.
Additional information to note
- Working hours: 36 hours per week
- The role will be office based
however some working from home may be available at the discretion of the line
manger after a probation period.
