11-month contract with a local authority

Job Purpose
  • The Void Coordinator will be responsible for overseeing and managing temporary accommodation voids to ensure timely turnaround and occupancy. This includes contract management of contractors, ensuring compliance with service standards, quality, and value for money. The post-holder will act as a key liaison between various departments to streamline processes and reduce backlog.

Key Duties/Accountabilities
  • Coordinate and manage void properties within temporary accommodation services.
  • Draft accurate Scopes of Work (SoWs) using the relevant Schedule of Rates (SoR) codes.
  • Contract manage external contractors to ensure high-quality service delivery, value for money, and adherence to timelines.
  • Monitor and ensure timely turnaround of void properties to reduce void periods and backlogs.
  • Act as the primary point of contact between Housing Needs, Property Services, and other internal teams.
Essential Experience Required
  • Proven experience in managing voids or property-related services in a housing or local authority setting.
  • Experience in contract management and working with external contractors.
Essential Qualification Required
  • Educated to A-level standard or equivalent. A relevant housing or property management qualification (e.g. CIH, RICS) is desirable.
  • Training in contract management, health & safety, or project coordination is advantageous.
