Summary
- The Waste Depot Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of the waste depot, ensuring that facilities and environmental standards are maintained to a high level. This role is key to supporting the delivery of efficient waste services across the borough, managing staff, resources, and compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage the operational activities of the waste depot, including staff supervision and resource allocation.
- Ensure the depot operates in compliance with health & safety, environmental, and council regulations.
- Oversee maintenance and cleanliness of depot facilities and equipment.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics, including waste volumes, recycling rates, and operational efficiency.
Experience
- Proven experience in managing operational facilities, preferably within waste management or environmental services.
Qualifications
- Relevant qualification in Facilities Management, Environmental Services, or a related field (e.g., NVQ, BTEC, or equivalent) is desirable.
