Job description
3 months contract with a local authority
Job Purpose
- To be responsible for all aspects of Home to School Travel finance including authorisation of payments within a clear framework.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Contribute to the on-going review and development of financial and other processes in consultation with stakeholders.
- Provide effective and relevant financial and commissioning support to the Strategic Commissioner SEND including the Joint Strategic Needs Analysis for SEND.
- Coordinate the planning for home to school travel and maintain an overview of travel routes to inform commissioning decisions.
- Fulfill a key feature of One Swindon Priorities to offer education opportunities that lead to the right skills and right jobs in the right places and to help people to help themselves while always protecting the most vulnerable children and adults.
Essential Experience Required
- Experience with School Travel finance including authorisation of payments is essential.
Essential Qualification Required
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience relevant to job description is essential.
Additional information to note
- Working hours: 22.5 hours per week
- Part time role of 22.5 hours over 3 days a week, with a preference for the candidate to work on Wednesdays in-person and the other 2 days from home.
- Enhanced DBS is required.
