Job Summary
- The Homeless Housing Coordinator will be part of the Front Door Team Service, which aims to assist individuals facing homelessness or currently homeless in maintaining their current accommodation or transitioning into suitable private rented housing. This role will involve close collaboration with the Families department, courts, solicitors, and Enfield’s legal department to proactively prevent homelessness.
Key Duties/Accountabilities
- Collaborate with partners to enhance resilience and housing sustainability under Enfield’s Early Help strategy.
- Provide expert advice and work closely with partners to prevent or delay homelessness, aiming to minimize the use of temporary accommodation and reduce street homelessness.
Essential Experience Required
- In-depth experience in welfare, homelessness reduction act, housing and homelessness policy and case law, legislation and practice, Courts, possession orders & evictions.
- Specialist knowledge in homelessness decision making.
- Experience in safeguarding vulnerable adults and children.
Essential Qualification Required
- Good general standard of education.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 35 hours per week.
- Background check: An enhanced DBS check is required.
