1 Week Contract With A Local Authority

To provide high-quality cleaning and domestic support in communal and/or residential areas, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. This role is to cover 3 shifts only—supporting the regular team during periods of absence, holiday, or increased demand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out general cleaning duties in line with the site’s cleaning schedules, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sanitising surfaces, and waste disposal.
  

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in communal areas such as lounges, corridors, kitchens, and bathrooms.
  

• Replenish cleaning materials and toiletries as required.
  

• Ensure all cleaning tasks are carried out safely and in accordance with Health & Safety and COSHH regulations.
  

• Report any defects, damages, or concerns about cleanliness, hygiene, or maintenance to the appropriate person.
  

• Work cooperatively with other staff and respond positively to requests for additional help during busy periods.
  

• Maintain confidentiality and treat all service users and colleagues with respect and dignity.
  

Requirements

• Ability to carry out physically demanding cleaning duties.
  

• Understanding of basic hygiene and cleaning practices.
  

• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal supervision.
  

• Flexible and available to work at short notice to cover shifts (including evenings/weekends).
  

• Reliable and punctual.
