Job Purpose

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the dynamic and successful Parks Horticultural Team within Streetscene. The post holder will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the horticultural standards of Belle Vue and Beechwood Parks—both Grade II listed and recognised on the CADW list of historic landscapes. These parks hold Green Flag and National Heritage status, requiring a high level of horticultural expertise and plant knowledge.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

Carry out horticultural maintenance and development across Belle Vue and Beechwood Parks.
Ensure the preservation and enhancement of historic landscape features in line with CADW and Green Flag standards.
Undertake planting, pruning, weeding, and turf care using appropriate techniques and equipment.
Identify and care for a wide range of plant species, ensuring seasonal interest and biodiversity.
Operate and maintain horticultural machinery and tools safely and effectively.

Essential Experience Required

Demonstrable experience in horticulture, preferably within historic or public park settings.
Proven ability to identify and care for a wide variety of plants.
Experience using horticultural machinery and tools.

Essential Qualification Required
