2-3 Months Contract with a Local Authority
Summary
- This role is designed to provide high-quality frontline support within Learns’ Student Support Services. It involves engaging in all aspects of data input, reception duties, and administrative support throughout the learner journey—from initial meeting and enrolment through to destination—ensuring accurate records, compliance, and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Act as the first point of contact for students and visitors, delivering a professional front-of-house and reception service.
- Support all administrative processes, including enrolment, registration, and data input during peak periods.
- Input and maintain accurate learner data on the Management Information System (MIS).
- Monitor attendance and punctuality, review absences, and update records on Learner Track.
- Submit prior learning records for exam purposes using the student database.
- Provide administrative support to tutors, senior tutors, and the leadership team.
- Report data issues promptly to the relevant leader and assist in resolving discrepancies.
- Assist with enrolment events and ensure smooth registration processes.
- Undertake other student services-related tasks as required to support the department.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative or student support role within an educational setting.
- Experience in data entry and maintaining accurate records on MIS or similar systems.
- Familiarity with enrolment and registration processes.
- Experience in providing front-of-house or reception services.
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential).
- NVQ Level 2/3 in Business Administration or equivalent (desirable).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and database systems.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 37 hours per week
- DBS is required.
