Job description

Children’s Residential Registered Manager We are looking for a highly experienced Registered Manager to lead one of our Children’s Homes. You will need to have

  • Have good regulatory knowledge with a practical understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and the Ofsted inspection framework.
  • Prioritise safeguarding children and young people and ensure positive outcomes through creative and innovative methods.
  • Can demonstrate a strength-based, individualised, and proactive leadership approach underpinned by collaboration and effective assessment and risk management.
  • Understand and foster an inclusive and positive team culture, providing support so that staff and children feel welcomed, valued and able to achieve their potential.
  • Can establish and build trust with staff, children and key stakeholders across residential services and care.
  • Have a strong focus on team performance and development using team supervision, career conversations and feedback to support staff and identify improvements for this role, you will need.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent and an ability to meet Ofsted regulatory requirements to become a Registered Manager.
  • In depth knowledge of delivering statutory childcare services and have had, at least 2 years' experience within children's residential care, within the last 5 years.
  • Proven leadership and managerial skills in a social care or health setting.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a range of individuals, built on trust in sometimes challenging situations.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work- no two days in our homes are ever the same!
