Summary
This role is pivotal in providing case management, guidance, and expert advice to social care staff, students, and partners, ensuring the highest professional standards. The position involves assessing and prioritising referrals, conducting complex assessments, and providing professional supervision. The role also includes leading safeguarding inquiries, supporting performance management, and collaborating with various stakeholders to enhance service delivery. The position requires a commitment to Haringey Council's values and involves hybrid working arrangements.
Responsibilities
- Provide case management, guidance, and expert advice to social care staff and partners.
- Assess and prioritise incoming referrals, formulating appropriate responses.
- Conduct professional supervision and identify training needs for social care staff.
- Undertake emergency assessments for adults with complex care needs.
- Provide advice and guidance to customers and carers, adhering to legislative frameworks.
- Conduct Safeguarding Enquiries under the Care Act 2014 and manage complex cases.
- Chair safeguarding and strategy meetings as required.
- Assist in setting and implementing performance management frameworks.
- Support the Team Manager in prioritising work and managing service delivery.
- Use management information to assess and assure team performance.
- Identify service gaps and recommend improvements.
- Maintain high levels of professional expertise and offer guidance to staff.
- Ensure staff understand safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Support financial management and control of allocated budgets.
- Act as a role model and support team management responsibilities.
- Respond to member enquiries and feedback within agreed timescales.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners for integrated service delivery.
- Promote diversity, equality, and inclusion within the team.
- Comply with Health and Safety and Data Protection regulations.
- Undertake additional duties as required.
