1 month contract with a local authority

Job Purpose

To carry out grounds maintenance duties including mowing, weeding, and general upkeep of outdoor areas around properties. The role ensures that communal and external spaces are maintained to a high standard, contributing to a pleasant and safe environment for residents.

Key Duties/Accountabilities

Perform routine grounds maintenance tasks such as mowing lawns, weeding flower beds, and trimming hedges.
Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of outdoor communal areas.
Operate and maintain grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
Conduct visual inspections of grounds and report any issues or hazards.

Essential Experience Required

Previous experience in grounds maintenance or a similar outdoor manual role is essential.

Familiarity with operating lawn mowers, strimmers, and other gardening tools.

Essential Qualification Required

Basic knowledge of horticulture or grounds maintenance practices (desirable).

Additional information to note

Working Hours: 45 hours per week.
Mobile grounds maintenance operative reporting to Merstone Depot PO30 3DA - day starts and finishes here
The role requires a basic DBS.
Full UK driving licence (required for mobile role).
