Summary:
Our Commissioning Service is pivotal in crafting a strategic framework for commissioning accommodation and community-based support for children, young people, and adults in Wiltshire. Emphasizing a "whole-life pathway," the service is committed to providing continuous support to Wiltshire residents throughout their lives. In this role, you will manage the operational aspects of a specialist service, ensuring day-to-day performance in partnership with the relevant Head of Service. As a subject matter expert, you will spearhead the development and implementation of effective commissioning strategies to enhance service delivery. Your leadership will ensure that Team Managers deliver front-line services efficiently and uphold high performance standards. Additionally, you will foster co-production initiatives and collaborate with partners, such as health services, to achieve optimal public satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the operational management of a specialist service.
- Collaborate with the Head of Service to manage day-to-day performance.
- Lead the development and implementation of commissioning strategies.
- Ensure efficient and effective delivery of front-line services by Team Managers.
- Maintain high standards of performance across teams.
- Develop and implement co-production initiatives with partners.
- Collaborate with health services and other partners to enhance public satisfaction.
Requirements
- Degree in a relevant subject or extensive experience in evidence-based commissioning and staff management.
- Significant expertise in Adults Commissioning.
- Experience working with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) and other regulatory bodies.
- Deep understanding of relevant legislation, such as the Care Act.
- Ability to lead strategically within a politically diverse organization.
- Confidence and clarity in navigating complex public service delivery demands.
