Summary:
The role of Facilities Cleaner is crucial in ensuring a clean and safe environment across multiple sites. This position involves identifying maintenance issues, opening and closing buildings, and adhering to a scheduled task list to meet defined service standards. Flexibility is essential, as the role may require covering alternative sites as needed. The primary goal is to maintain buildings that are clean, secure, and safe for occupants, with a focus on user satisfaction and adherence to Facilities Team service standards.
Responsibilities:
- Clean multiple premises to British Institute of Cleaning Science (BICs) standards.
- Open and close buildings, including setting and switching off alarms.
- Identify and escalate building defects through appropriate channels.
- Respond to call-outs for incidents as required.
- Perform other duties appropriate to the grade of the post.
Requirements
- Essential Qualifications/Knowledge:
- Basic knowledge of cleaning techniques and COSHH related to machinery, equipment, and chemicals.
- Understanding of working to defined outputs, targets, and schedules.

- Desirable Qualifications/Knowledge:
- Relevant Health & Safety or Facilities Management qualification.
- Experience in a cleaning environment.
